Instagram has more than 500 million active users. This makes Instagram one of the most important and relevant social media channels of our time today. The Instagram Stories feature, in which you can post 15-second clips, images, and baying of both that are visible to all followers for 24 hours, allows you to reach many people efficiently and without much effort or cost. Of course, there are some tricks and tricks here too that make your Instagram stories as successful and targeted as possible. Talk about exactly that in today's challenge!

Instagram stories offer you a way to interact more directly with your fans and make them feel like they know you a little better.

This works particularly well for personal brands. These are brands that are based on your individual personality and provide you with a more personal relationship with your audience, which is true for you as an influencer. But if you’re an influencer marketing a service-based business that’s not just an individual behind, this feature is also ideal. It makes such a big impression on visitors and is a fantastic way to build trust and authority.

WHY INSTAGRAM STORIES ARE SO VALUABLE

In both cases, these tools also give you a little more freedom and scope for the type of content you’re creating. When you post an image on Instagram that appears on your feed, you’ll need to think about what it’ll look like for people who discover your account for the first time. Every single

picture could be the first impression of you, and you need to make sure it fits you and your message.

Conversely, Instagram stories allow you to upload photos for your existing fans that they can take with them on their travels and deeper into your life. It won’t affect people who see you for the first time, but it will allow you to build a closer relationship with your existing followers and make them feel privileged access to your message, story, and lifestyle.

Instagram stories give the viewer (i.e. the follower) a behind-the-scene insight. In contrast to the photos that are otherwise so perfect, the follower gets a deeper insight here, which makes the brand or person in the story much more tangible.

Nevertheless, you should be careful and think about your content, because even if it disappears after 24 hours, it leaves the viewer with lasting insight, so that they can quickly say goodbye to incoherently uninteresting content. It is therefore important to positively influence your reach in order to increase it and not reduce it.

WHAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED WHEN CREATING AN INSTAGRAM STORY

Ideally, an Instagram story has up to six photos and/or videos. With much more, the viewer could quickly get bored so that he or she just clicks through and misses the content. Stories should be posted regularly as this increases the reach.

The ideal story starts with a wow factor that captivates the viewer. It can be a photo or a video, the main thing is that it is interesting and does not give away all the facts at once. After that, you should alternate between photos and videos that are interesting and relevant. In the end, there is a call-to-action that tells the viewer what the next step is for him or her.

Tutorials are great as Instagram stories and tell a story at the same time. The tension increases all the more when you vary with formats. This can be in the form of videos in several sequences or step-by-step instructions in the form of photos.

STEP 1: WOW PHOTO
The first photo or video must create a WOW effect to make users curious about more.

STEP 2: HOW-TO-STEP
The step-by-step instructions ensure that users watch your stories to the end. Think about which sequences make the most sense to click on.

STEP 3: INSPIRATION
The variety of formats provides tension. Therefore, switch between photos and videos calmly.

STEP 4: CALL TO ACTION
Your story should end with a call to action.
